F.A.Q.

If you have a question that isn’t addressed here, feel free to contact us!

Q. When is 121 Fitness open?
A. Mon. – Fri. 5:00am – 9:00pm | Sat. 8:00am – 5:00pm | Sun. 9:00a.m.-2p.m.

Q. Do you give student or senior discounts?
A. Our policy is not to discount memberships. We feel our rates are reasonable and fair. We have maintained our membership prices at the same rate for five years. We also charge no initiation fee. We DO offer special three month memberships for students during the summer.

Q. Can I cancel my membership at any time?
A. An annual membership is binding for the one-year term. The exceptions are a major injury or a permanent move of over 30 miles.

Q. Should I get a physical or consult my doctor before starting an exercise program?
A. We would recommend that everyone get clearance from their physician before starting any workout program. Obviously the longer you have been sedentary the more critical this would be.

Q. I haven’t been in a gym in years. Can 121 Personal Trainers create a program for me to ease me back into a regular fitness routine?
A. Absolutely. We provide new member orientation when you join. This will more than get you started. If you desire more one to one assistance we have trainers on staff.

Q. Do you require parental supervision for minors using the facility?
A. The minimum age for a membership is 12. Generally parental supervision is not required!

Q. How many hours a week will I need to work out in order to see results?
A. This is a trick question! Results are dependant on frequency, duration, and intensity of your workouts. Not to mention the lifestyle one leads outside of the gym. A standard rule of thumb for a person just getting started is to budget at least three days a week with a minimum of one hour per visit. Again, it depends tremendously on what your goals and dedication level might be!

Q. Do classes or personal trainers cost extra?
A. All classes at 121 Fitness are included in your membership price. Our trainers generally charge $30 per hour for an individual. Group discounts may apply.

Q. Are your classes co-ed, or do you offer women/men only classes?
A. Our classes are co-ed. 121 Fitness prides itself on our “inclusion” policy. We have found that having a mixture of ages, sexes, and body types has made our gym the friendliest around. We would encourage any reader to come check this out for themselves!

Q. Do you provide locker and shower facilities for members?
A. Yes. We have complete shower and locker facilities for both men and women.
